Bio-identical Hormones for Women & Men

Menopause is a period of hormone imbalance and deficiency. The average age of menopause in the United States is 54. Perimenopausal symptoms frequently start in the 40's. Symptoms may include insomnia, fatigue, hot flashes, vaginal dryness, decreased libido, mood changes, migraines, memory changes, weight gain and/or muscle loss, decreased bone density, etc.

Andropause is thought of as the male version of menopause and results from the gradual decrease in testosterone. This decline in testosterone can begin around age 30 and testosterone levels decrease by about 1% per year. Although the decline in hormones is more subtle for men, they can experience changes in libido and sexual function; changes in sleep patterns, mood and concentration; and changes in weight and muscle mass.

Bio-identical hormones can be used by men and women. The term refers to compounded hormones that have the same chemical and molecular structures as the hormones that our body produces. The combination of hormones and the amount of each hormone used, is determined on a case-by-case basis. Starting as early as age 30, our hormone levels start to decline and our health can follow suit. Our bodies become less efficient and health decline can be very subtle or more drastic in nature. Weight Loss

A common office visit concern is weight maintenance or patients seeking weight loss. Almost 70% of adults in the United States are either overweight or obese. Along with diet and exercise, weight loss medication, medical foods, vitamins and supplements can be utilized to help improve energy levels and suppress appetite. Vitamin B12 injections and Fat Burner injections can also be used to enhance energy and improve weight loss outcome. The HCG Diet Protocol is available for patients seeking more aggressive weight loss. Our goal is to help you maintain a healthy weight and ideally, prevent future medical problems.

Family Practice

From well exams and sports physicals to acute symptoms or chronic illness, we can evaluate and address your medical concerns.

Peptide Therapy:

Peptides are compounded and can be in the form of pills, nasal sprays and injections, depending on the type of peptide. Various peptides can be used to improve sleep, hair restoration, weight loss, increase muscle mass, stimulate Growth Hormone, improve gut health, ulcer repair, decrease wrinkles, etc. They can have extensive anti-inflammatory and anti-aging benefits.
